How did I not know this?
“Tonight, You Belong to Me” is in The Taffetas, a Broadway show. And if it’s from a Broadway show, it’s fair game to use for Dinner Theatre. Score! Add a third harmony part in there, dress up the girls in cute 50s dresses, and we’re off to the races.

Somebody also uploaded the only scene from The Jerk that I like. Steve Martin, which you probably already knew, is an amazing musician. I want to play uke like this.

OK, the rest of the scene is dumb, kind of like the rest of the movie, haha — but what a sweet, innocent, lovely song that absolutely has to make you smile. Made my day!
That’s the only part in that movie that I adore! Oh, and thanks….I’m going to have that song in my head ALL NIGHT!!!
I think adding a third part and doing that number in one of your shows would be a hit!
Girl I’ve been singing it nonstop for going on 48 hours!!! It gets in your head, doesn’t it? It always happens when I’m writing a chart (which came out nicely, by the way).
Speaking of arranging songs that you won’t stop singing for days…I did this one for B & G and I couldn’t stop singing the chorus for WEEKS. So if you don’t want to do the same, don’t click it..
Hahahahaa
Haaa Bernadette and the trumpet. Forgot about that.
I know right?? HA — that was the dumbest movie ever. But great song. And I’ve found since posting this that although Steve plays uke, he did not play that song. Rather, it was played by a guy named Lyle Ritz.
And there you have it. Your Fun Fact for the day.
