Monday lunacy

All right, stop it. I’m doing it again. Looking at a list of 25 “things” I need to get done not as a separate delineation of tasks, but as a huge cloud of ain’t-gonna-happen. Why do we big-picture thinkers get into trouble like this?

I think it’s just laziness. I don’t want to actually get up, make the decision to dive in, and dive in. I like the planning/thinking stage, and the getting up isn’t a problem. It’s the starting; the initial stages of “I have such a long way to go” that I hate.

Or, I could just shut up, quit complaining, finish this post, and dig in.

Yeah, that’s what I’ll do. After coffee, breakfast, a walk on the treadmill, and catching up on last night’s episode of The Newsroom.

:P

Last four days of freedom, here I go.

Haaa ya nut! Love the book titles. You, my dear friend, are WAY too hard on yourself. A list of 25 things to do is way too long. 4 more days of freedom and enjoying them is at the top of that list, I hope. :)

Heh heh — got a little carried away, didn’t I. LOL

I am definitely going to enjoy these last four days. I’ve decided. I’m the only one getting all riled up, and therefore the only one truly worried about it. My 5th graders aren’t going to care how ultra-overprepared I am and how many hours of thought went into the first week’s lessons on music from around the world, so why should I? All will be well and lessons will be taught and hopefully no one will die of it. :P
      XOXO!

Thanks for reminding me about Newsroom :)

Ditto on the planning on thinking. I’m procrastinator #1 when it comes action time. Hope it all goes well!

I know, right? Why do today what you can put off till tomorrow? We need to slap ourselves out of that!

And I am loving loving LOVING West Wing. So glad you guys recommended it. I didn’t get a chance to watch Newsroom this morning, but that’s on the agenda for this afternoon. Awesome show. Sorkin overload.
