That’s how many days till we open, and roughly how many days until I get to see RtB fiend Suzanne!
Unfortunately, given the distance between our two homes, that’s not possible but for every few years. Not sure of the exact mileage, but it looks something like this:
Actually, it’s about 4000 miles as the crow flies. Heckuva drive.
This week begins the big (well, the final 3-week) push to Dinner Theatre opening. It’s been very weird this year. Somewhere, I lost two weeks. Maybe it was how Labor Day fell and when school started, but we are under a big ol’ huge gigantic gun. An Uzi. A Howitzer. So much to do and so little time. And to those who say (and rightly so), “The kids always pull it together” — um, keep telling me, because there are numbers I haven’t even staged yet.
So, how was your weekend? Did it fly by, like they always do? Are you excited for anything soon? In the next three weeks, I’ve got a family wedding and I’m starting a night class. Time to start practicing and reading. How about you?
I’m also putting out feelers for a head coach of the Cleveland Browns. If you know anyone…
Have a super Monkday.
YAAY!!!! Time is a-flyin by and before we know it I will be a-flyin’ there!! I can’t wait to see you and Your Kids; I know you are freaking out but I am looking forward to a Finktabulous show! I am going to end every sentence with a !!! because I am excited HAA! Have a great Monday!!!!!!!
Looking forward to having you meet the Js, my school kids…everyone. We’ll have to have a feast in your honor on that Sunday — even if it’s just pizzas! <3 <3
Pizzas sound good to me! And I am willing to help tear down sets and stuff Saturday night, that’s always a fun way to get to know Kids.
Nothing as exciting as visitors from abroad, but we’re rushing headlong into the height of marching band season. This Saturday is regional competition. Our kids are doing splendidly– outscored the 5-time state champs this weekend and came within .25 of our friendly rivals. It’s going to be a great finish to the season, hopefully culminating with a state championship at the end. So, lots of tears yet to be shed as we experience many “lasts” in the next few weeks! I’m thinking your DT is about the same time as our state finals. Good luck to all of our performing kids!
Big weekend for you as your baby has a lot of “lasts.” Remember when he was first starting kindergarten???
Good luck indeed — I know we’ll need it over here on this end. BLAH
I’m actually kinda glad that your posts were so short because I was afraid I wouldn’t have time to read a week’s worth this morning before work! So, in summary: sorry about your flu (feelin’ your pain, sista), sorry about the Indians (always), sorry about the Browns (“sorry” in that case sounds like a dirty word), and sorry about your always-busy schedule. Obviously, Rae-being-up-around-2am is an indication that I am feelin’ your pain on that, too. I am anxious to watch The Artist, (almost forced it upon Heffe on vae-k through Red Box), but it may be something I watch solo. He hasn’t watched the tonnage of black/white movies, including the dozens of silent ones, that I have. I’m sure he could see the beauty, but he likes to hear the beauty, you know?
Take some time for yourself, even if it’s just a moment. Got you a present. Not sure how THAT live exchange is gonna happen. Maybe we can make it happen sometime. Or I’ll leave it in the mailbox! Ha…
Hey doll, I’ve been thinking about you lately. How are wedding plans going??? Definitely get H to watch The Artist — he might like it! Or at least get him to sit with you while it’s on, even if he’s doing something else. Bet ya a dime he gets sucked in!
Post will definitely be short this morning (Tuesday). Overslept by a half hour. How are you feeling? We fo sho need a face-to-face; maybe when my insanity is temporarily over, and just before your Christmas madness begins?? Hugs and thanks for the prezzy!!! YAAY
