Look at me, all productive & stuff. Ooooooo…
Yesterday was Upstairs Closets and Tackle the Sideboard Day. Behold…
And seven garbage bags of clothing and shoes went to the Volunteers of America. *fist pull*
Then there was the sideboard. I got as far as gooping it up with the stripping compound. It’s pretty much dried now, and I will spritz it with water to soften it up, then scrrrrrrape it off. We’ll see how the stuff worked. If it’s anything like another stripping job Mavis and I did a couple of years ago, it should be A-OK. If not, well…there’s always the ball peen technique.
And then — a lovely surprise! We got to have the Js over for a slumber party. We had a great dinner and played on the Wii (it was just too dang hot to play outside), after which they took a long, leisurely bath, had a snack, brushed teeth, and conked out. It was an unexpected treat.
So yeah…is it Thursday? Today, after boys go home, I have to scrrrrrrape the sideboard, then run to school. Plowin’ through the list, plowin’ through the list.
How about that?
WOW lookie you being all productive and everything!!! Nice job on everything.
Right?? Yay me! I’m rarely — if ever — this productive at home, haha. Thanks luv — enjoy your day off!
You’re a ball of fire accomplishing to much. Congrats!! You’re inspiring me to tackle my list (which I still need to create). Involved in a church conference the rest of this week, so things will have to wait until then. I’m also fussing with a major writing assignment with a deadline in a couple of weeks. Love the research, but writing is agony, kinda like labor pains (well maybe that’s hyperbole). You always have a wonderful time with the Js! They love being with you.
How about that? I’m actually getting stuff done at home. And if you’re inspired to do the same, go on with your bad self! But of course, get conference over with first.
It was a great time with the Js! Always is. I told them it worked out this week because we’re out of town on Saturday with Kay & Bob, so we couldn’t keep them. Jake said, “So we’re not allowed to come on Saturday?” Awww!
A writing assignment…I am curious! We need to palaver.
Wow! Good job, sweetie! You really worked hard. Having the J’s over was a nice treat. Where are you going with K/B?
Thanks Mave! It was unexpected and totally fun.
We are going to Cain Park in Cleveland Heights to see Lisa Biales perform. I know her from many years ago; she’s one of Kay’s friends and a fine singer. We’ll go out somewhere for dinner beforehand. Should be fun!
Wow! That sounds like a great day! You’ll definitely have a great time. At least it will be cooler! Have fun, honey-bun!
