Observation

As my attitude has improved at school, that of my students has also inched forward in a positive direction. Inched. But that’s better than regression.

There. Now that I’ve put that in writing, the wheels are going to fall off. But it’s been an interesting experiment. I’ve always said that students will reflect about 50% of your energy, but 100% of your attitude. It really is true. Attitude shapes everything, and the kids know it.

Stay away, snow. Just until Thursday, please.

We have a saying in my house – “If Mama ain’t happy – ain’t nobody happy!” :-) I totally get what you’re saying. Even my little pup, Abby, understands my moods. She can just tell when I’m in a good mood because she’s all playful and running around. If my mood is off, she just sits on the floor staring at me. Or, she’ll turn her back to me and pout. Yes, dogs can pout, folks. I’ve seen it first hand.

I hope your kids keep going in the positive direction. If not – get out the whip and chair!

On a *positive* note – it’s almost Christmas break!!! YAY! Hang in there, luv.
