Things that are not true

Here in America, we’re hot and heavy about not being anyone’s fool. NO one’s taking America down the garden path, lemmetellya. I mean it. We’ll blast ya. T’ smithereenies.

Then, why, why, why are so many of us duped by a simple Internet meme? I haven’t a clue. So, for the good of the nation at-large, and for my own sanity and general confusion about the subject, here are…

Things That Are Not True

  1. There are no Fukushima giant killer hornets murdering people in Nebraska.
  2. Bill Cosby did not give the “I’m 83 and I’m Tired” speech. Rather, it was written as a 2009 blog post by a retired Marine named Robert Hall.  You can also confirm the misquote at Bill Cosby’s own site.
  3. President Obama did not claim that November is National Muslim Month.
  4. “Obamacare” features forced home inspections. Um, no.

I have about 60 more, but alas, out of time and out of here. If there is such a thing as a “happy Monday,” I want you to have it. That’s an order. :-)

Uh…there are folks that really believe these things?? Hornets murdering people? Muslim month? Dogs and cats sleeping together? Mass hysteria!!! ;-)

If I ever have any questions about things like that, I can always count on you to set the record straight….cuz I’m too lazy to look it up myself.

Have a happy Monday, sweetie. I bet you’re freezing to death today! :p~~~~~

It sure was freezing this morning, Lazy Mavis! I had the heat on all the way to work.

And unfortunately, yes — there are actually those who believe this tripe, and worse, spread it around like manure. I mean, I really have to question their powers of discernment. Seriously — people on the National Report “news” site are actually discussing how the Nebraska winter would probably kill them off…oy…

Furthermore, the fact that there were ZERO major outlet news reports about this should tell one something, anything. Cripes!

I didn’t believe that about the hornets but I DO believe that we aren’t being told the truth about the Fukushima disaster. There’s no way that it’s clean around there and I also believe that the ocean and area around it is going to die.

    *shrug* only time will tell.

Hope you are having a good Monday, have a good week!

My cousin Jerome lives in Japan, and he has posted several articles over the last year that confirm the suspicion that all is not as it appears. I think there will be long, long, LONGterm negative effects from that explosion.

I got through Monday, so I’m one-fifth of the way there! You have a great week, too. XO
